Focused Care for Individual Needs
Since pH Wellness Riverside only accepts 20 clients at a time, clients receive maximum individual attention adapted to their unique needs. Staff provide 24/7 monitoring and can swiftly attend to personal requests. Doctors and nurses are on-staff to tend to medical needs, including prescribing medications for addiction treatment when appropriate to help ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Group therapy is held in both smaller gatherings of six clients and larger ones of about 15 clients. A primary therapist helps clients develop a treatment plan that fits their goals and personal situation and takes into account any co-occurring mental health concerns, lifestyle factors, and history of trauma.
Wellness Activities and Fitness
Physical and mental wellness are seen as foundational parts of the treatment experience. The campus is surrounded by hiking trails and outdoor gathering spaces, and clients may go on group outings such as trips to play golf. The center has a 5,000-square-foot state-of-the-art gym, with personal trainers on-hand to support clients’ fitness goals. Programming includes meditation, yoga, and movement activities to keep the mind calm and the body active during recovery. Private chefs prepare nutritious meals to further support overall wellness and replenishment.
Pet-Friendly Accommodations
The center allows clients to bring service dogs or emotional support animals with them to residential treatment. This can be crucial for clients who don’t want to leave their pets at home while receiving care, and those who would benefit from having their animal companion with them as part of their healing. Dogs have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to accommodate them, and staff can help guide clients in ways their pets can benefit them in their recovery. There may be some restrictions on the types of animals that can accompany clients, but admissions staff can readily provide clarity based on individual circumstances.
Long-Term Recovery Continuum
pH Wellness offers a full continuum of step-down treatment, with medical detox (withdrawal management), residential care, and outpatient programs including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and regular outpatient sessions. Clients receive relapse prevention education before they leave treatment, and staff can help with practical needs such as FMLA paperwork and connections to continuing care.
