Treatment Facilities Near Me

There are dozens of rehab centers to choose from in the San Diego area. Most of the area’s facilities can be found in La Mesa, followed by San Diego, itself. There are also many options to choose from in Vista, Chula Vista, Escondido, and El Cajon. 

When looking for a substance misuse treatment facility in the San Diego area, it is important to keep location in mind. Outpatient centers, specifically, may require travel, so limiting your search to areas nearby is recommended. Payment Options

There are many payment options to consider when looking for a rehab center in the San Diego area.

Dozens of treatment facilities in and around San Diego accept private health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, or offer a sliding fee schedule, based on a person’s income. A handful of rehab centers even offer free or no-cost care.

 

Inpatient Treatment Facilities

It is important to consider the differences between inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities when choosing a facility that is right for you. 

Inpatient treatment facilities are intended to help patients live a happier and healthier life. Inpatient care takes place in either a hospital-like setting, where there is intensive monitoring, or in a more residential-like setting, where patients can reside at the facility and receive live-in care. There are both short-term and long-term facilities to consider. Short-term facilities allow patients to stay for three to six weeks, while long-term facilities typically allow a stay of six months to a year.

911 Good Samaritan Law

California’s 911 Good Samaritan Law allows a person to dial 911 for someone experiencing an overdose, without fearing arrest for possession of a controlled substance. Likewise, the person experiencing the overdose may not be arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
