Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults seeking a highly structured treatment environment with daily accountability; individuals looking for a small, intimate treatment setting; those seeking treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; people who value family involvement in recovery; clients interested in a full continuum of care from detox through aftercare; individuals seeking a luxury-style, home-like treatment environment.

  • Not a fit if: Adults seeking a highly independent or self-directed treatment experience; those who prefer private accommodations rather than shared living arrangements; individuals looking for a larger peer community with dozens of residents; people seeking specialized executive, adolescent, or other niche treatment programs not specifically offered by the facility.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Initial assessments: A comprehensive substance use assessment, mental health evaluation, medical screening, and history review is done at intake.
  • Collaborative treatment planning: Clients are active participants in building their treatment individualized treatment plans. Family input may go into this as well if approved by the client.
  • Continued reassessment: Treatment plans are continuously reviewed with clinical teams modifying goals based on progress, challenges, and new goals that come about. An advantage of the small population at this facility allows staff to closely monitor progress and make adjustments quickly.

Who you will meet with

  • Medical Team: Clients may meet with physicians, psychiatrists, and medication providers for detox and addiction treatment services during their stay.
  • Clinical Team: Members of the clinical team include therapists, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), and group facilitators.
  • Support Staff: The support team helping clients may include case managers, behavioral health technicians (BHTs), a program director, the clinical director, and other support staff.

Typical schedule

  • Overview: Participation in this program involves about 43 hours of group therapy, and one or two individual therapy and case management sessions weekly.

  • Evidence based therapy: A variety of evidence-based therapies are in place to support clients during their recovery. These can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused counseling, 12-Step facilitation and relapse prevention.
  • Family communication and visitation: Family involvement is encouraged with parents and extended family members being allowed to stay involved upon client approval after an approximately one-week blackout period at the beginning of treatment for detox and stabilization.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Shared living environment: Residential clients typically stay in shared rooms in a comfort-focused, home-like setting with chef-prepared meals.
  • Structured free time: During downtime clients may be able to read books, work on recovery assignments, go for walks, gym visits, and community outings, and participate in other recreational activities.
