Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults who want a small residential environment in a luxury setting; prefer evidence-based CBT alongside holistic therapies; wants access to limited contact with work or family through approved electronic device use; are seeking a 30-day residential program with integrated detox oversight and psychiatric care; want help arranging discharge care.

  • Not a fit if: Adults who want regular in-person family visitation; a highly flexible, unstructured daily schedule; need a lower cost residential option; no access to phones or outside communication during treatment.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Before admission: Prior to admission, clients undergo a confidential consultation. During this time staff discuss the needs of the client, answer questions, and explain treatment options. Insurance is verified and an assessment is conducted to understand substance use history, mental health concerns, medical needs, and whether the facility is an appropriate fit.
  • Orientation and treatment planning: Upon arriving at the facility, clients undergo medical and psychiatric evaluations and are oriented to the program with a focus on personal goals. Clients help identify what they want to accomplish, problems they want addressed, and treatment priorities. These goals become the base for the client's personalized care plan.

Who you will meet with

  • Psychiatrist and Medical Director: The medical director, a psychiatrist, is involved with developing detox protocols, overseeing medication management with nursing staff, and conducts weekly psychiatric visits with the client.
  • Clinical treatment team: Clients work with psychologists, master's-level therapists, substance abuse counselors, and nursing staff who provide therapy, skills development, and daily clinical support as well as individual and group therapies.
  • Care coordination: A care-team point person is assigned as well as a case manager to help coordinate treatment services, monitor progress, and begin planning for the next level of care or discharge early in the treatment process.

Typical schedule

  • Daily schedule: In the morning, clients have two CBT-based skills groups with topics that rotate through about 40 subjects but can include relapse prevention, grief, discharge planning, and coping skills. Clients also attend their individual therapy sessions during the day in addition to process groups and holistic programming.
  • Virtual family sessions: Family involvement is available through virtual family sessions that last about 90 minutes once or twice during a client's stay.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Accommodations: Clients may stay in shared rooms. Private rooms are available for an additional flat fee. The smaller residential population provides increased opportunity for staff interaction and peer community support.
  • Environment and amenities: The facility is broken into four residential homes on approximately two acres each. Amenities include pools, jacuzzis, a tennis and pickleball court, as well as an onsite gym.

Aftercare

  • Discharge planning: Discharge planning is an ongoing part of treatment supported by a dedicated case manager who helps coordinate next steps such as intensive outpatient programs (IOP) or sober living.
  • Additional recovery support: Aftercare includes outpatient therapy, support groups, medication management, continued case management, scheduled check-ins, and personalized relapse prevention planning. The facility also coordinates special alumni events where past and current residents have the opportunity to connect.
