Vera’s Sanctuary is a licensed residential drug treatment program designed specifically for young women who have survived human trafficking. The program also serves pregnant women and prioritizes support for those who may not have reliable family or housing stability.

Withdrawal Management and Structured Residential Treatment

Care includes withdrawal management (detox) and residential treatment across multiple levels of care. Programming centers on group and individual counseling, along with case management and trauma-related support. The facility also offers services for co-occurring mental health needs, helping residents address substance use and emotional safety at the same time.

Privacy and Calm in a Nature-Based Setting

Located in Trabuco Canyon, the campus is a remote, scenic property surrounded by nature and wildlife, an environment intended to feel restorative rather than institutional. Residents have their own private bedrooms, which can support a greater sense of privacy and stability while they begin to rebuild routine and trust.

Education, Job Readiness, and Day-to-Day Life Skills

Treatment extends into practical rebuilding. Residents receive support with education and vocational planning, job training, and internship opportunities. Daily life also includes a culinary program tied to sustainable gardens, along with yoga and meditation as part of the health and wellness program, tools that help residents practice self-care and plan for life after residential treatment.
