Small residential setting with individualized care
With only six clients in treatment at a time, the facility provides a highly individualized care experience that differs from larger residential programs. The small client population may help create a quieter and more personalized recovery environment with greater familiarity with staff and deeper relationship development. The luxury-style residential facility offers private or shared accommodations and chef-prepared meals set in a retreat-like atmosphere near Southern California beaches.
Brain mapping and genetic testing
During intake, clients receive a comprehensive psychiatric and mental health evaluation to determine care needs. This can include brain mapping to assess neurological and emotional functioning as well as GeneSight testing to help guide medication decisions. Due to such a low client volume, treatment plans are highly customized and include a combination of psychiatric care, individual and family therapy, holistic services and group work. Plans are adjusted throughout treatment for severity, trauma history, emotional regulation needs and goals of the individual.
Frequent therapy and family involvement
Clients may work with clinical psychologists, psychiatry and medication management providers, nursing staff and other clinical support team members during treatment. Licensed therapists may support clients in individual, group and family therapy sessions, and the facility has an open-door approach offering individuals the ability to access therapy services as needed during their stay. Daily schedules may include morning mindfulness activities, therapy sessions throughout the day and check-ins for psychiatric or medication management. Treatment can include motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy and other trauma-informed approaches.
Luxury residential environment and holistic support
Clients may participate in yoga, acupuncture, meditation, massage, art, music, recreation and sound therapy alongside traditional mental health treatment. Meals are shared, and there is downtime in indoor and outdoor shared spaces in addition to evening reflection time or community-based programming intended to provide structure and emotional grounding throughout treatment. Personalized aftercare planning begins prior to discharge and may include coordination with outpatient providers near the client's home, support for housing, legal, healthcare and social service needs, and referrals for follow-up counseling, support groups and continued mental health resources.
