Therapeutic Residential Care for Men

The men’s residential program is designed to encourage community and accountability. Clients participate in group and individual counseling each week, using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Daily educational groups explore topics including relapse prevention, emotional regulation, anger management, and co-dependency. Complementary practices like yoga and group meditation support mindfulness and stress management. Family groups meet weekly, and vocational counseling helps clients set achievable goals for work and personal development.

Medication and Mental Health Support

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available for individuals with opioid or alcohol use disorders. Depending on clinical need, clients may receive or continue medications under medical supervision. Additional medications for mental health conditions can also be integrated into treatment when needed. The program welcomes clients already using prescribed medications from external providers. Combining MAT with counseling and behavioral therapy allows the team to address both physical stabilization and psychological growth.

Peer Support and 12-Step Integration

The program emphasizes connection through peer support and 12-step engagement. Clients are introduced to the principles of the 12-Step recovery model, including accountability, honesty, and community responsibility. Group discussions encourage reflection on these principles and their application in daily life. Clients also attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings as part of their recovery plan, learning to identify triggers and build substance-free support systems. This method helps create a strong foundation for continued recovery after treatment.

Lifelong Alumni Program and Aftercare

The center offers a strong alumni network once clients finish treatment. Through the After Care for Life program, all alumni can access weekly counselor-led groups at no cost for as long as they want. Alumni mentorship provides a bridge for new graduates, offering guidance during early recovery. The center also offers job training, GED assistance, and volunteer opportunities. Social gatherings, such as the long-running Monday Night Steak Dinner and Speaker Meeting, bring alumni together to share progress, celebrate milestones, and maintain their connection to a supportive recovery community.
