Medically monitored detox

When needed for high-risk withdrawal, treatment can start with detox (withdrawal management). This phase is monitored by nurses and clinical staff to make sure clients are safe and as comfortable as possible. Withdrawal management is available for opioids, alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, and methamphetamines. Clinicians routinely prescribe MAT when appropriate.

Residential treatment and step-down IOP

The residential phase usually lasts for 28 days, though this can be adjusted based on client needs and progress. Clients stay in semi-private rooms, usually shared with one roommate, and have access to open communal spaces to connect with their peers. Treatment includes one-on-one, group, and family therapy, skill building, and planning for long-term recovery. Once they are ready to graduate from this phase, clients can step down to an IOP program. This usually involves 3-4 sessions per week for about 6-12 weeks, depending on individual needs. In IOP, clients can participate in gender-specific programming, which can appeal to clients who are healing from specific types of trauma. The IOP program can help give clients a smoother transition into independent living as they are ready.

Substance use and co-occurring mental health care

This center is designated by Tennessee as a Co-Occurring Disorders Enhanced provider. This means it is specially qualified to treat mental health conditions alongside substance use for an integrated approach. Psychiatric care and mental health management are available to help regulate mental health.

Discharge planning and case management

Long-term support services include weekly aftercare and recovery groups, recovery coaching, connections to outpatient MAT, and ongoing peer support. Case managers can connect clients to housing services and help with navigating social services. Staff also provide naloxone and overdose education to help keep clients safe and informed after treatment ends.
