Best fit if: Adults who need medically supervised detox and residential treatment; have co-occurring mental health conditions; prefer evidence-based therapies over a primarily 12-step approach; value 24/7 medical and psychiatric support; plan to continue into outpatient care; have private insurance or can self-pay.
Not a fit if: Need Medicaid, Medicare, or other state-funded insurance; want a highly 12-step-focused program; expect routine weekly family visitation; prefer private rooms or extensive off-campus recreation; are uninsured and unable to self-pay.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Pre-admission assessment: Prior to admission, the client completes a pre-screen assessment and staff begins to develop their initial care plan.
- Individualized care planning: Treatment plans are personalized and clients have the opportunity to actively take part in the development of their plans. This will determine the level of care and placement for proper support.
Who you will meet with
- Clinical team: Psychiatrists, master's-level clinicians, therapists, and group facilitators provide psychiatric care, individual and group therapy, evidence-based treatment, and care planning.
- Medical and nursing staff: Nurses and medical providers provide 24/7 support during detox and residential care. They also monitor withdrawal symptoms and support medication management as needed.
Typical schedule
- Daily programming: Clients can expect to take part in programming from about 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The schedule includes group therapy and individual counseling. Groups focus on CBT, DBT, trauma therapy, and mental health recovery. Break times and meals take place intermittently between sessions.
- Evenings: During the evenings, clients take part in evening recovery meetings. Other meetings may be available such as AA or 12 step, which is optional.
- Free time: Downtime is scheduled outside of programming and clients have access to common areas or use any of the facility's amenities. There is also an outdoor fenced courtyard clients can take advantage of during downtime.
Living experiences and amenities
- Living arrangements: Clients share large, modern rooms with one other roommate and full-size beds. There is an attached bathroom and TVs with streaming services are in each room as well.
- Amenities: In addition to spa and wellness amenities that include salon and spa services, a wellness center, movie theater, and chef-prepared meals, clients can use an exercise area, pool tables, and recreational games.
Aftercare
- Outpatient step-down: Clients can transition from residential treatment into outpatient programming, with structured step-down that typically takes about two months.
- Continuing care planning: Individualized aftercare planning and continuing care recommendations are in place to help support long-term recovery after residential treatment.
