Freeman Recovery Center - Burns
Overview
Residential substance use treatment and medical withdrawal management (detox) on a private, rural property. Clients can choose between traditional recovery and a Christian-based healing pathway called Arise. The campus has a chapel where clients can attend services. Care approaches include relapse prevention and connections to community support, as well as daily groups with evidence-based, trauma-informed therapies. Personal electronic devices are allowed with some limitations. After a 30 to 90-day residential stay, clients can transition to the partial hospitalization program (PHP). This program provides all-day therapeutic work with transportation to nearby sober living in the evenings. This facility accepts private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and self pay.

Detox and Residential Treatment
Those who need it can start treatment with medical withdrawal management (detox). This phase usually lasts seven to ten days, and medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed to help clients get through symptoms and cravings safely and as comfortably as possible. Once stable, clients can go into residential care at the same location. This includes frequent group therapy seven days a week, keeping clients engaged and helping restore a sense of routine.
Christian and Traditional Recovery Tracks
A faith-based recovery program is available for clients who want it. This program, known as Arise, includes visits to an on-campus chapel for Christian services, as well as other spiritual components. Those who want a secular approach can choose a traditional recovery path.
Mental Health and Trauma Care
Clients who have mental health conditions or trauma alongside their substance use can get treatment for both at the same time. Medical and mental health specialists meet with clients and tend to their needs. Therapies such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed EMDR are used to get to root causes of substance use and address them.
Step-Down Transitions
After withdrawal management and residential care, clients can step down through partial hospitalization (PHP), as well as intensive outpatient (IOP) at a nearby Freeman Recovery Center outpatient facility. In PHP, all-day programming — eight hours per day, six days per week — is paired with sober living accommodations at night. Staff provide transportation to sober living in the evenings, so clients don’t have to worry about getting there on their own.
Flexible Tech Policy
To stay in touch with family and daily responsibilities during treatment, use of personal electronic devices such as smartphones is allowed; certain limitations are in place based on individual treatment plans. WiFi is available at the campus.
