Adaptable Scheduling Options

Foundations San Francisco offers all-day partial hospitalization programs (PHP), as well as flexible intensive outpatient programs (IOP). The IOP can be attended in-person, virtually, or through a hybrid model. Daytime and evening scheduling is available so clients can fit treatment around work, family, education, and other responsibilities. Standard outpatient sessions are also offered.

Accommodations for Professionals

Programs can be adapted to the needs of executives and professionals working in a variety of high-stress fields. Foundations San Francisco emphasizes discretion and confidentiality, as well as comfortable accommodations. Treatment can address concerns such as burnout and workplace stress.

Substance Use, Mental Health, and Co-Occurring Treatment

Treatment is available for substance use and primary mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. Trauma care is also available. Clients who have co-occurring concerns can receive care for both at the same time through the dual diagnosis program. Psychiatric evaluations can be completed at the start of treatment to inform the best ways to adapt the program for individual needs. Along with MAT, medications for mental health can be prescribed when appropriate.

Evidence-Based and Holistic Approaches

Proven methods used by therapists include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention. These are integrated with mind-body-spirit practices such as yoga, meditation, acupuncture, and somatic therapies.

Continuing Support

Before formal treatment ends, staff help clients make plans to address their long-term recovery needs. Clients can be connected to housing resources, self-help groups, peer mentoring, and recovery coaching. An alumni program hosts community events to keep former clients connected long-term. Naloxone and overdose education is provided.

Pre-Admissions Experience

We conducted a series of pre-admissions calls, the most recent on June 8, 2026, to evaluate response time, transparency, and patient experience.

When we reached out to Foundations San Francisco, the admissions team was prompt and responsive. They walked us through basic schedules and outlined the members of the clinical team. The conversation felt friendly and genuine, though the representative did not have many specific details on hand.
