New Method Wellness specializes in treating substance use alongside co-occurring mental health conditions. Care begins with medically supervised detox and extends through residential treatment, intensive outpatient care, and continuing aftercare. Each client is paired with two therapists, providing consistent guidance and accountability.

Beachside Environment and Flexible Levels of Care

Clients stay in gender-specific homes near the Pacific Coast and engage in treatment at a modern outpatient center. Residential stays typically range from 30 to 90 days with staff available around the clock. The outpatient center includes group rooms, counseling offices, a client kitchen, dining space, and indoor and outdoor lounges, creating a setting that balances structure with comfort.

Evidence-Based and Holistic Therapies

Treatment incorporates established approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care alongside more than 20 holistic options. These include surf and wilderness therapy, yoga, equine-assisted therapy, art therapy, massage, meditation, and nutritional counseling. This wide range of modalities allows clients to address recovery through physical, emotional, and practical pathways.

Specialized Tracks and Lifelong Support

Programs are designed to meet the needs of diverse groups, including veterans, executives, LGBTQ+ clients, and young adults. In addition to substance use, the facility treats conditions such as eating disorders, OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other addictions like gambling or internet use. After primary care, clients can join extended aftercare and alumni programs that provide vocational support, peer mentoring, and community activities to reinforce long-term recovery.
