The men’s residential program is based around the unique emotional and social needs of adult men in recovery. The all-male environment encourages open dialogue about addiction, mental health, and personal growth with peers who have been in each other’s shoes. This helps men build closer connections and promotes a sense of accountability and mutual support. Individual and group therapy are tailored to men’s experiences.
The center’s 12-step model is closely integrated with Christian teachings, offering men a spiritual framework that aligns with both recovery principles and biblical values. Clients participate in regular 12-step meetings alongside faith-based services, where care staff help connect recovery steps with scripture and personal faith. This dual approach allows men to explore accountability and healing through both evidence-based insight and a Christian perspective.
Trauma-informed counseling is central to the treatment approach and is adapted to men whose substance use is tied to past trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Therapists work to help clients build trust, insight, and emotional regulation skills through evidence-based approaches. The program also includes family and couples counseling to help repair relationships, rebuild support systems, and encourage further healing at home. Self-help groups and peer support offer additional space to process trauma and build connections.
Dual-diagnosis care is designed to treat substance use and mental health issues together, based on an understanding of how one can fuel the other. Men receive coordinated support from staff who understand the emotional and psychological patterns that often underlie addiction. By addressing both areas concurrently, men gain deeper insight into their behaviors, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping skills.
Continuity of care is emphasized through structured aftercare planning. Before discharge, each client works with their treatment team to develop a personalized plan that may include ongoing therapy, peer support groups, and spiritual mentorship, depending on individual needs. The facility offers relapse prevention education, naloxone training, and follow-up check-ins to help clients maintain progress. This ongoing support helps ease the transition back into daily life while reinforcing long-term recovery goals.
