Faith-Based Women-Only Residential Setting

VOTC Inc - Visions of the Cross Women’s Residential offers 24-hour residential substance use treatment exclusively for women. The program describes a peaceful, faith-based, family environment and uses an individually tailored length of stay to match each client’s needs. This is a fit for women who want recovery support that includes spirituality alongside structured clinical services.

Support for Mothers and Perinatal Needs

A key differentiator is family-centered programming for women who are pregnant, postpartum, or parenting. The program offers residential beds for clients’ children, helping mothers stay engaged in treatment while keeping their kids nearby. Parenting classes and family planning services are part of the residential track, with additional family groups and parenting support available through the Family Dynamics Resource Center.

Counseling, Life Skills, and Practical Routine

Clients begin with assessments and ongoing evaluations that inform individualized treatment planning. Core services include individual and group counseling, psychoeducation, life skills education, and relapse prevention. The curriculum focuses on practical day-to-day skills like healthier communication, boundary-setting, and working through emotional, mental, and physical barriers that can complicate early recovery.

Mental Health And Medication Coordination

Mental health services are available, including suicide prevention services. Medication monitoring can be provided when needed, and the program partners with Community Behavioral Health for medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and ongoing mental health services. For clients using medications for addiction treatment (MAT) that are prescribed elsewhere, Visions can coordinate care by collaborating with approved local physicians.

Outdoor Space And Next-Step Planning

The residential setting includes nutritious meals, onsite workout areas, and outdoor features like gardens and paved walking paths. Discharge planning and a continuum of care help clients prepare for what comes next, with aftercare/continuing care, naloxone and overdose education, and follow-up after discharge. The program also connects clients to recovery support such as self-help groups, housing services, help obtaining social services, and vocational or educational support.
