Comprehensive Treatment With MAT
For clients who have experienced trauma alongside substance use, the center provides integrated care that addresses both. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) are available to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms. These medical supports are paired with evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and relapse-prevention counseling. Telehealth options are offered to make services accessible for clients who wish to attend therapy from home.
Women’s Residential Care at Perkins Place
Perkins Place is a residential program designed for women and their children. The environment supports trauma recovery with individual and group counseling as well as crisis intervention. Childcare and parenting support are offered as part of the program. Family counseling may include fathers or partners when appropriate to help rebuild relationships. Additional services such as employment readiness and case management prepare clients to transition into stable, daily living.
Flexible Outpatient and Peer Support
For clients who cannot step away fully from daily responsibilities, the center offers outpatient programs that blend therapy and support. Life coaching and action workshops guide clients in building resilience, developing communication skills, and setting achievable goals. Peer recovery specialists provide encouragement grounded in lived experience. In Lorain County, Project On Our Own reaches clients recently released from incarceration, providing intensive outpatient care, family services, and free transportation to all appointments.
Practical Recovery Services
As part of care plans, clients can access recovery housing, mentoring, and vocational training. Education such as GED preparation and career counseling helps clients strengthen their long-term independence. Health services and education are offered to address physical well-being alongside emotional recovery. Specialized programming supports clients who have experienced intimate partner violence or sexual abuse.
Community-Based Prevention Programs
Prevention programs extend resources into the community. Building Bridges to Recovery provides HIV/STD prevention, education, and peer navigation, while the HOPE1 mentorship program connects at-risk youth with tutoring, life-skills training, and recovery-focused supports. For clients in recovery, these programs offer opportunities to stay connected to positive networks and avoid relapse.
