At IBH Addiction Recovery, residential treatment is designed to address the full scope of a person’s health, mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Residents live on campus with 24-hour support and participate in more than 30 hours of direct services each week, including individual and group counseling, educational programming, and case management. Care is guided by the eight dimensions of wellness to build coping skills, mindfulness, and long-term recovery stability.

IBH combines medical and therapeutic expertise with a values-driven approach centered on dignity and community. Treatment includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-focused counseling. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT), such as buprenorphine and naltrexone, support recovery from opioid or alcohol use while clients develop skills for emotional regulation and relapse prevention. Spiritual care and access to 12-Step meetings are available to nurture reflection and connection.

Restorative Campus Environment

Located on a peaceful, tree-lined property in Akron, the facility offers gender-specific housing with private, semi-private, and dorm-style rooms. The grounds include walking paths, a pond, gardens, and open green spaces for reflection. Residents can access a modern fitness and yoga facility, community chapel, and outdoor gathering areas that promote wellness through movement and connection. Transportation and personal essentials are available to support each client’s daily needs.

Community Connection and Aftercare Through REACH

Recovery continues through the REACH (Recovery, Education, Accountability, Community, and Hope) Program, which extends up to two years after residential treatment. Participants engage in volunteer projects, peer-led meetings, and service-learning opportunities that strengthen accountability and purpose.
