Specialized Recovery Tracks
Cove Forge offers several recovery pathways adapted to meet clients’ specific needs. The Veterans Program brings veterans and active service members together to heal in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. The River of Life Christian Program includes Bible-based groups and church services. The H.O.P.E. (Heroin Opiate Positive Experience) program focuses on healing the brain and nervous system after the effects of opioid addiction.
Rural Forested Campus
Located on a 65-acre forested property in the rural Williamsburg countryside of Pennsylvania, the facility has 25 beds and gender-specific lodging. Here, clients can heal among nature and focus on themselves in a peaceful environment away from daily stressors. Outdoor activities like climbing and hiking are incorporated into care.
12-Step and Community Focused Recovery
Twelve-step principles are woven throughout treatment. This involves an emphasis on peer support and community, where clients help one another along their journeys. Peer-oriented groups discuss topics including gratitude, relapse prevention, managing stress, mental health, and building healthy relationships.
Support for Mental Health and Trauma
Clients who need treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions can receive it alongside treatment for substance use. Clinicians can also provide support for clients with a history of trauma, including PTSD. This can be especially helpful for those whose substance use is related to emotional health, or those who have relapsed due to untreated mental health symptoms.
Continuing Care Planning
Once they complete residential treatment, clients can step down to partial hospitalization (PHP). This involves all-day treatment while living at home or in sober housing. As part of discharge planning, staff use Community Rehabilitation Services (CRS) to help clients transition back to independent living through referrals, scheduling appointments, and connections to long-term community support.

Quality and Trust
Trust Score
A simple A–E grade that offers a quick view of how much confidence you might place in a facility—based on public and self-reported data. It’s not a guarantee of quality or outcomes, but a data-informed tool to help guide your search. More on our methodology.
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities
CARF reviews rehab programs to make sure they provide respectful, effective, and personalized care. For addiction treatment, CARF uses standards developed with the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), so this accreditation shows the program follows trusted, evidence-based guidelines for treating substance use.
Learn moreSAMHSA-certified Opioid Treatment Program
This is a federal certification for programs that offer medication like methadone or buprenorphine to treat opioid addiction. It means the center is legally approved to provide this care, follows strict safety rules, and combines medication with counseling to support long-term recovery.
