Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Adults who are seeking residential treatment with medical detox; need support for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions; prefer a smaller, structured treatment environment; benefit from CBT and DBT; want family involvement through therapeutic sessions; have private insurance or can self-pay.
Not a fit if: Adults who are seeking outpatient-only care; need unrestricted access to phones, laptops, or the internet; prefer a highly independent or minimally structured environment; want a large campus setting; are looking primarily for alternative therapies rather than clinically focused treatment.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Admission and treatment planning: Upon admission, clients undergo a clinical assessment and review of their substance use history and medical needs to determine treatment direction. This is based on individual substance use patterns, mental health needs, and recovery goals.
- Evolving care plans: Clients work directly with their therapists and clinicians to determine recovery goals. Treatment planning changes as the needs of the client evolve. Clients have the ability to request varying levels of individual therapy support during their stay. Treatment focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills.
Who you will meet with
Therapists and clinical staff: Licensed therapists and clinicians provide individual therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, psychoeducation, and continued recovery support.
- Medical and nursing staff: Nursing staff, medical detox staff, physicians, and psychiatric providers oversee withdrawal management. They also check in with clients for health needs, provide medical care, and help manage medications when needed.
Typical schedule
- Structured daily programming: During the day clients take part in group therapy, educational sessions, therapeutic classes, skills-development groups, and scheduled individual therapy. They also have access to recovery-focused activities throughout the day. Evenings may include optional 12-step meetings, recreation, peer interaction opportunities, and personal downtime. Most groups and classes last about 40 to 45 minutes. Breaks are scheduled between sessions.
- Withdrawal management: Typically, the first 5-7 days of detox are focused on safe withdrawal management and stabilization. Classes may be available, but clients are not expected to participate.
- Residential: Clients can expect to stay in residential treatment for approximately 21-30 days. This is a structured environment for the entirety of treatment.
Living experiences and amenities
- Living accommodations: Clients stay in a home-like environment with semi-private rooms. They have access to private bathroom options, lounge areas, a library, outdoor gathering spaces, gardens, and laundry services. Rooms have flat-screen TVs.
- Wellness and recreation amenities: Amenities may include a salon and spa, sauna, massage services, meditation spaces, a basketball court, movie room, recreation areas, games, wellness activities, nutritious meals, dietary accommodations, 24-hour cafeteria access, and coffee and tea stations.
- Technology and communication: Internet access is normally restricted during treatment, but exceptions may be made for work, school, or other responsibilities. Family communication is available through scheduled phone calls and approved arrangements. Visits may take place as often as weekly.
Aftercare
- Aftercare planning and recovery support: Continuing care planning, relapse prevention planning, recovery support groups, alumni programming, family follow-up counseling, and peer support resources are all accessible to clients completing treatment.
- Housing and recovery support: The facility offers assistance with locating sober living and recovery housing. Additionally, clients have access to recovery coaching, peer support, employment, and life-planning resources.
