Residential Mental Care for Teens

Mission Prep Healthcare is designed specifically to support teens ages 12 to 17 experiencing mental health disorders. The program focuses on helping teens stabilize and build skills to navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and other conditions, all within an environment tailored to their developmental needs.

Integrated Therapy and Academics

Treatment at Mission Prep combines evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) with expressive therapies and on-site education provided by licensed teachers. This integrated approach helps teens continue their schooling while receiving care, supporting both emotional health and academic progress during treatment.

Small, Supportive Environment

With a high staff-to-client ratio and a small census, the facility offers a focused, individualized approach. This setting allows staff to work diligently on each teen’s progress while fostering therapeutic connections that support emotional safety and personal growth.

Nature-Connected Setting

Located in coastal town, the facility offers access to outdoor lounge areas, gardens, and walking paths, providing a calming environment for teens during treatment. Activities such as yoga, art and music therapy, and fitness are part of the daily routine, supporting emotional regulation and healthy habits.

Emphasis on Family Involvement

Mission Prep includes family participation through therapy and education to help parents understand and support their teen’s progress. This approach strengthens family systems and helps prepare for ongoing support after treatment.

Positive Patient Feedback

Mission Prep receives strong praise from families and caregivers. Reviewers consistently describe the staff as passionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to helping teens grow. Parents note significant changes in their children's behavior and well-being and commend the facility’s therapeutic structure, caring environment, and transparency.
