Lakeside accepts referrals, conducts assessments, and admits clients to the program 24/7, giving people with urgent mental health or substance use needs a place to get support at any time. Acute inpatient treatment services are available for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, including support for suicidal thoughts, acute psychiatric crises, or the need for drug or alcohol detoxification. During inpatient treatment, clients receive 24-hour nursing support and psychiatrist-led medical care, and licensed therapists lead individual, group, and family therapy.

Various levels of care are available, including inpatient treatment and hospital-based drug or alcohol detoxification when needed. Clients can also step down to various levels of outpatient care. A PHP provides a full-day outpatient option with daily group therapy, while the IOP provides a half-day option with day and evening schedules. Weekend and virtual scheduling options are also available.

Treatment for substance use, mental health conditions, and trauma

Clients can receive treatment for mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions, and the facility specializes in trauma resolution. Treatment can include individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, trauma resolution, anger management, and psychiatric medication management. Support from peer recovery support specialists is also available, adding a recovery-oriented peer connection to clinical care.

Comprehensive discharge planning helps clients get support for what comes after inpatient or outpatient treatment, and the facility offers specific programs for alumni. Aftercare support groups are held on Mondays from 6 to 7 p.m. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) groups are also held on-site.
