Trauma-Informed Healing in a Home-Like Residence
The center offers residential treatment in a calm, home-like setting where adults can step away from daily pressures and focus on their recovery. The center provides private rooms, chef-prepared meals, a pool, and access to nature, creating a quiet space for reflection and healing. Staff work to foster a safe, supportive environment where people feel respected and ready to engage in change.
Therapist-Led, Individualized Support
The program is structured to meet people where they are. Everlast maintains a 3:1 client-to-staff ratio and offers flexible therapeutic scheduling based on individual needs. Clients with trauma histories and those with other specialized requirements may receive additional one-on-one time. The facility also offers family and marriage therapy, supporting people in restoring connections affected by substance use. Holistic therapy options include yoga, mindfulness exercises, and art, music, and equine therapy.
Creative Expression and Weekend Flexibility
Saturdays at Everlast Recovery Center offer an opportunity for unstructured connection and personal exploration. Known as a āfree day,ā this time is reserved for group outings or creative activities that break from the regular treatment schedule. Clients might spend the day hiking, bowling, seeing a movie, or participating in guided art classes. The relaxed, social environment helps build community, reduces stress, and reinforces the idea that healing can include joy, creativity, and meaningful connection.
12-Step Integration and Community Connection
Everlast incorporates 12-step principles as part of a broader, flexible approach to recovery. Clients are introduced to the values and structure of 12-step programs and are encouraged to explore meetings and fellowship both during and after treatment. Staff help facilitate connections to local Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) communities. For those who find meaning in peer support and structured accountability, 12-step integration offers a powerful tool for long-term recovery and community-based healing.
Inclusive and Veteran-Focused Programs
The center serves a diverse adult population and offers specific programming for veterans, people with trauma histories, criminal justice clients, clients living with HIV/AIDS, and individuals who have experienced domestic or sexual violence. It also offers gender-inclusive accommodations and support for LGBTQ+ clients. Staff emphasize a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment with an approach centered on compassion.
Long-Term Recovery Planning
Beyond immediate treatment, Everlast provides structured support for long-term recovery. Clients receive discharge planning, aftercare guidance, naloxone education, and assistance with housing, employment, and peer recovery resources. Staff note that many people who complete the program remain engaged in the local recovery community and are especially active in Riversideās AA and NA groups.
Patient Reviews
Everlast earns outstanding reviews, with patients emphasizing the life-changing impact of its deeply caring staff, intimate setting, and community feel. Many highlight the value of learning lasting coping tools and building meaningful connections, both with staff and peers. The home-cooked meals and clean, welcoming facilities also receive consistent praise. While insurance acceptance has some limitations (Medi-Cal not accepted), patients report that the facility is transparent and helpful in navigating payment options.
