Women-Focused Residential Treatment

The residential program offers a dedicated, women-only space designed to provide safety and belonging during recovery. Clients live in a 24-hour therapeutic environment supported by professional staff who understand the complexities of addiction and recovery. As part of Cenikor’s full continuum of care, women can transition seamlessly between residential, outpatient, and aftercare programs without losing access to their established treatment team or support network.

Evidence-Based Care With Peer Support

Treatment integrates evidence-based therapies that address both the emotional and behavioral aspects of addiction. Clients participate in individual and group counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention. The program also incorporates 12-step meetings and mindfulness-based approaches such as yoga. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed as needed to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Certified peer specialists with lived experience in recovery offer one-on-one coaching and facilitate life skills groups.

Practical Case Management

Transportation assistance and on-site child care ensure that treatment remains accessible to women balancing family responsibilities. Case managers help clients navigate community resources and connect to housing, employment, and social services as needed. Education and counseling services are offered, as well as regular health monitoring.

Recovery Coaching and Aftercare

The center’s Recovery Support Services (RSS) and aftercare programs provide long-term follow-up at no additional cost. Clients can continue working with peer coaches for up to a year after discharge, receiving help with vital documents, employment readiness, and community reentry. Aftercare extends for up to two years, offering group sessions, relapse prevention training, and check-ins.

Accessible and Affordable

The program is built to serve a wide range of women, including older adults, veterans, and members of military families. It also supports individuals with co-occurring disorders, survivors of trauma or domestic violence, and clients living with HIV or AIDS. Services are offered in an inclusive, respectful environment that provides sign-language interpretation for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Payment assistance is available to clients with limited financial means.
