Programs incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and trauma-focused counseling. These methods help clients identify underlying triggers, change destructive patterns, and learn to manage emotions without substances. The facility can prescribe medications for addiction treatment (MAT) as needed to support detoxification and relapse prevention. Dual diagnosis care integrates treatment for mental health concerns and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), ensuring these conditions are addressed alongside substance use. Clients participate in individual and group therapy sessions, as well as family programs when appropriate.

Specialized Program for Veterans and Military Families

The center offers a dedicated program for active-duty military, veterans, and their families. The Veterans Program offers trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy for addiction and PTSD. Treatment is guided by Certified Trauma Professionals (CTP) and Certified First Responder Providers (CFRP) who understand the unique experiences of service members. The center’s approach emphasizes emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. Through the E-motion Wellness program, clients participate in yoga, art therapy, music therapy, and meditation to support stress reduction and self-expression. This integrated model draws on neuroscience, psychotherapy, and body-based techniques to promote emotional regulation and resilience. Nutritional counseling and physical activity are also part of daily routines, helping restore balance after prolonged substance use. Educational and vocational support, job training, and life skills workshops are offered to further prepare clients for independent living.

Case Management and Aftercare Support

Each client works with a case manager to create an aftercare plan adapted to each client’s needs. This can include continuing therapy and connection to peer recovery networks. Alamo provides recovery coaching, housing assistance, and job placement guidance as needed to ensure stability post-treatment. Clients are encouraged to stay engaged through alumni meetings and family support sessions.
