When a client is first admitted to Windmill Wellness Ranch, they receive a thorough medical and psychological evaluation, with the additional option for genetic testing. For those who may have a co-occurring condition, this can be critical to receiving the correct diagnosis, and therefore the correct treatment. One scientific approach offered by the ranch is Brain Frequency, which involves an electroencephalogram (EEG) to measure electrical patterns of the brain. With these results, medical staff can customize treatments to help reset areas of the brain as needed for healthy function. The EEG process doesn’t hurt, and takes about 20 minutes.
Scientific and Evidence-Based Treatments
Sound healing, a neuroscience-based treatment, uses a particular combination of vibrations and tones to relax the nervous system, and may be particularly beneficial for clients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sleep disorders, and chronic pain. The soundtracks used involve Tibetan singing bowls and Renpho drumming binaural beats. Another technique offered at the ranch is 9-Dimentional (9D) Breathwork, designed to calm the body’s stress levels and alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression. The Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is also used to help clients alleviate stress and process emotional trauma. These include natural hiking trails, an outdoor pool, sports courts, and sand volleyball. Indoors, there are pool and ping-pong tables, board games, and a full gym with professional trainers to help clients set and achieve fitness goals. Board games are available, as well as TVs in the living room. The lodge-style housing has double beds for comfort, and nutritious meals are cooked by professional chefs.
