Structured Outpatient Care That Works with Daily Life
This Bakersfield program provides outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment in an office-based setting for teens and adults who need support while continuing to live at home. Clients attend three-hour sessions three times per week, creating a consistent routine without the intensity of residential or partial hospitalization (PHP) care. Separate groups for adolescents and adults give each age group space to focus on the challenges most relevant to their stage of life.
Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment with Family Involvement
Care addresses substance use and mental health conditions through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-related counseling, and relapse prevention. Treatment is built around structured group sessions that encourage peer connection and accountability, while individual, family, and couples counseling add more personalized support. Weekly family therapy is a core part of the program, helping families improve communication and rebuild support at home.
Inclusive, Group-Based Setting with Practical Support
The program serves all genders and provides an LGBTQ+-affirming, transgender-inclusive environment. Services take place in counseling offices, group spaces, and family session areas, with telehealth available for added access. Clients also receive case management, transportation assistance, drug and alcohol testing, mentoring, and help connecting to community resources. Mindfulness activities and peer-focused programming add support for stress management, social connection, and everyday stability.
Step-Down Support with Ongoing Recovery Planning
This level of care works well for people starting outpatient treatment and for those stepping down from residential or PHP. Aftercare planning, naloxone education, and discharge support are built into the treatment process to help clients carry progress forward. Peer support, self-help groups, recovery coaching, employment counseling, and follow-up services extend support beyond the primary program and reinforce longer-term recovery.
