Peer-Only Community for Veterans, Military, and First Responders

Warriors Heart Texas provides care exclusively for veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders. This demographic-based approach creates a treatment environment built on shared experience. Clients are surrounded by others who understand the demands of their professions and the effects of trauma, enabling deeper trust and a greater sense of belonging right from the start.

Ranch Setting Designed for Restoration

The 543-acre campus provides a quiet, nature-rich environment. The grounds feature private lakes, hiking trails, and wide-open spaces that encourage physical movement and personal reflection. Facilities include wood and metal shops, a gym, and designated space for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, all contributing to a physical and mental wellness during recovery.

Full Continuum of Care Without Disruption

Clients can access multiple levels of care on a single campus, including medical detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programming, long-term care, and sober living. This integrated model minimizes the stress of transitioning between programs or locations, supporting a more stable and consistent treatment experience.

Programming That Reflects Identity and Purpose

Specialized offerings speak to the mindset and experience of those who have served in complex, high-responsibility roles. In addition to jiu-jitsu, clients may participate in art therapy, fishing, and the K-9 program, where they train rescue dogs to become emotional support animals. These options serve outlets for stress, connection, and confidence-building in ways that aren’t solely reliant on talk therapy.

Transitional Living with Continued Support

Following primary treatment, clients can transition to the Warriors Heart Lodge, an onsite sober living option that provides additional structure and peer support. The lodge bridges the gap between residential care and independent living, offering ongoing counseling and accountability as clients begin to rebuild routines and responsibilities in everyday life.

Considerations from Patient Reviews

While many former clients express deep gratitude, others note issues with staff professionalism and transparency around trauma care. Some reviews describe a mismatch between the program’s military-forward culture and the nuanced needs of clients with complex trauma histories. Others raise concerns about financial clarity, especially when insurance is involved. Prospective clients should ask detailed questions about clinical fit and costs upfront.
