Small, City-Based Reintegration for Men

Located near downtown Niagara Falls, Sundram Manor is a residential reintegration program for adult men who have already begun recovery and need a stable step between treatment and independent living. The program offers 24-hour support in a community-style home where men can focus on staying substance-free while rebuilding routines, structure, and confidence.

Trauma-Informed Care

Counseling at Sundram Manor is trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, anger management, and 12-step work. Individual and group sessions, including telehealth options, help clients explore substance use, mental health, and past trauma in a setting designed to feel safe and collaborative. The program welcomes men with co-occurring mental health needs and supports those who receive medications for addiction treatment (MAT) or medications for alcohol use disorder from outside prescribers.

Life Skills, Work, and Education

A core focus of reintegration is helping men move toward economic stability and purpose. Staff can connect men with community resources for outpatient substance use and mental health treatment, primary and specialty medical care, and education or vocational services. Onsite, clients build daily living skills, social skills, and relapse prevention strategies, and can join self-help groups. Employment counseling and vocational training are offered, and men are encouraged to pursue volunteer work.

Home-Like Setting and Daily Structure

Sundram Manor offers semi-private bedrooms, shared living spaces, and designated activity areas that encourage peer support. Healthy, on-site meals, including chef-prepared options and use of a kitchenette, support clients’ physical health and daily routine. The program is located on a major bus route. Sign language services are available for men who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Flexible Stays and Support for Varied Populations

Length of stay is flexible, typically ranging from a few weeks to several months based on each client’s recovery goals and progress. Sundram Manor serves men 18 and older, including young adults, older adults, veterans, individuals involved with the criminal justice system, and men who have experienced trauma, intimate partner violence, chronic pain, or housing instability.
