A Camp-Like Setting for Teens
Surrounded by nature, teens live in gender-specific housing and enjoy chef-prepared meals together in a communal dining space. Days balance therapy with outdoor activities including basketball, volleyball, hiking, and swimming. Indoor activities like a game room and movie nights are also available for teens to enjoy. With only 22 residents at a time, staff get to know each teen personally, creating a safe, structured environment. The program is designed to help adolescents see recovery as a chance to reconnect with themselves and others.
Evidence-Based and Holistic Therapies
Treatment combines dual-diagnosis expertise with creative and experiential activities that resonate with teens. Therapy sessions address the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors driving substance use while encouraging healthier coping strategies. Teens also participate in yoga, meditation, art, and music activities that offer safe ways to release emotions and build confidence. Outdoor recreation and group challenges promote teamwork, self-esteem, and resilience. For those who need it, medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed for withdrawal management and relapse prevention.
Keeping Up with School
Education is built into the daily schedule. From 9 a.m. to noon, teens attend class in a small, structured setting with a licensed teacher who coordinates with their home school or enrolls them in an accredited online program. This allows coursework, individual education plans (IEPs), and credit transfers to stay on track while teens focus on recovery. The approach helps reduce the pressure of grades, instead emphasizing progress, routine, and confidence. By blending education with treatment, students return home prepared to rejoin their classrooms and plan for their future.
Family Involvement and Support
Families are included in treatment from the start. Each week, parents join therapy sessions that focus on communication, boundaries, and rebuilding trust at home. A dedicated family liaison provides regular updates and is available by phone or text for questions and guidance. On Sundays, families are invited to visit and practice new skills together in a supportive setting. Virtual parent support groups connect caregivers with others facing similar struggles to offer mutual encouragement and perspective.
