Residential Rehab for Men, Veterans, and First Responders

Freedom Village provides residential substance use treatment for men, with dedicated programs for veterans and first responders. The campus is part of Horizon Village, which specializes in long-term rehabilitation and trauma-informed support. Clients participate in daily programming designed to address substance use, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and trauma connected to military or front-line work. The program combines individual and group therapy, educational sessions on substance use, and family involvement when appropriate.

Trauma-Focused Care With Mental Health and MAT Support

Clinical services combine multiple evidence-based approaches with trauma-related counseling and 12-step work. Clients can receive medications for addiction treatment (MAT) when needed, as well as medications for mental health. Supervised withdrawal management is provided to help clients safely discontinue substances, and clients receive psychiatric evaluations and addiction medicine consultations to guide care. These services combined help promote greater stability both during and after residential treatment.

Practical Support for Work, Housing, and Everyday Life

Case management and support coordination can assist clients with navigating Medicaid and social service programs. Vocational training, GED preparation, and employment counseling are offered to help clients regain confidence in their work skills and plan for future career goals. Clients can access assistance with housing searches, legal aid, food resources, and domestic violence services as needed. Recovery coaching, peer support, and self-help groups are provided to reinforce daily structure and motivation.

Family Involvement and Health Services

Family therapy and educational programming help loved ones understand substance use, trauma, and PTSD, while also improving communication and support systems. On-site health services include screening for HIV, hepatitis B and C, sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis, metabolic concerns, and COVID-19, along with health education. This focus on physical health along with mental and emotional health, supplement substance use recovery and give men a solid foundation to re-enter independent living.
