Culturally Grounded Residential Care

Operated by the Spanish American Civic Association (SACA), Nuestra Clinica – Rehabilitacion provides state-licensed residential treatment in the heart of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The program was founded to meet the need for bilingual, culturally responsive care for Hispanic men. Services are delivered in English and Spanish by a multicultural team trained to address both substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Residential stays typically last 30–90 days and serve as the next step after detox.

Evidence-Based and Whole-Person Approach

Clients participate in individual, group, and family therapy, psycho-educational sessions, and 12-step facilitation. Treatment is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), with an emphasis on structure, accountability, and daily community living. The team conducts medical and psychiatric screenings, provides HIV education and testing, and coordinates referrals for specialized or ongoing care. Recreation and group activities help clients practice social skills and rebuild confidence in recovery.

Family and Community Connection

Family participation is central to the program’s philosophy. The Weekend Family Program and regular family counseling help strengthen communication and support networks. Beyond the household, Nuestra Clinica links clients to employment referrals, transportation services, and community resources, reflecting SACA’s broader mission to uplift marginalized communities through social and economic stability.

Access and Continuing Support

Admission requires completion of a detox program alongside medical stability. Staff assist with assessments and referrals when additional care is needed. The program offers aftercare planning to connect clients with local self-help groups and continuing recovery services.
