Men-Only Community Living

Men in this transitional housing program live together in a supportive, home-style setting that encourages shared meals, daily routines, and mutual accountability. This setup allows men to focus on recovery while practicing everyday living skills in a safe, stable space. By reducing stress and building community, the environment helps men gradually adjust to independent life after treatment.

Frequent Evidence-Based Therapy

Residents follow a consistent schedule designed to keep recovery at the center of daily life. Each day includes five hours of substance use disorder services, one hour of individual counseling, and four hours of group therapy. This balance ensures men get both personal attention and peer support. Methods include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention, all aimed at changing thought patterns and reducing relapse risk.

Support for Co-Occurring Needs

The program is designed to treat co-occurring mental health conditions alongside addiction, ensuring both are addressed together. Trauma-focused counseling is offered to help men process difficult past experiences. Integrated primary care services and health education, such as HIV/AIDS counseling and general wellness, addresses physical health needs which can otherwise derail recovery if left untreated.

Practical Assistance and Case Management

Beyond counseling, the program emphasizes life skills and employment readiness. Men participate in education sessions and workshops covering communication, budgeting, and problem-solving. Employment counseling and training are offered to help residents prepare for reentering the workforce. Case management connects men to housing services and social support as needed. Recovery coaching and peer mentoring are provided to offer lived-experience guidance.

Ongoing Care

As part of the program, residents receive overdose education and training in naloxone use. Discharge planning begins early, with outcome follow-ups and aftercare services ensuring men remain connected to support after leaving the program. Transportation assistance is available, helping men access medical care, jobs, or social services.
