Nestled among 40 acres of Maryland trees, the beautiful Tranquility Woods mansion offers alcohol, substance addiction, and dual diagnosis treatment. Only treating 40 clients at a time, this detox and residential treatment center incorporates the luxuries of high-end, hands-on inpatient care with holistic therapies, off-site activities, and medication management. Tranquility Woods provides individualized treatment plans with a staff who walks with clients each step of the way as they rediscover who they are throughout the treatment process. After completing residential treatment, clients can be connected to outpatient care at the facility’s outpatient location in Arnold, MD.

Residential Treatment with Comprehensive Mental Health Support
- Catering to each client’s needs, personalized treatment plans begin at 30 days and can include medical detox.
- Addiction psychiatry helps clients with medication management, including for dual diagnosis, for which Tranquility Woods can use medication to manage mental health conditions.
- Private mental health therapy specifically designed to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and other conditions.
- Other treatment sessions including individual therapy and daily small group sessions to focus on dual diagnosis and relapse prevention.
- A chronic pain program is also available.
Family Engagement
- Private family counseling sessions are available at the client’s discretion, designed to improve family communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen the family support system as clients go through recovery.
- Family therapy can take place in person or virtually.
- Beginning the second Sunday of each client’s residential treatment, Tranquility Woods allows two friends or family members to visit for Sunday Family Visitation.
