Residential Treatment for Men

Christopher House provides a structured residential setting for men 18 and older in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Residents receive 24-hour care that combines counseling, relapse prevention, and opportunities to build peer support through group sessions and recovery community engagement.

Integrated and Evidence-Based Care

Treatment includes psychiatric assessment, primary care access, and medications for addiction treatment (MAT). Individual and group counseling address both substance use and mental health needs, while certified anger management and family education programs support long-term emotional health. Telehealth and transportation assistance make care more accessible.

Skill Building and Vocational Support

The program emphasizes preparing residents for life after treatment through GED support, vocational counseling, and training in budgeting and coping skills. Computer access allows residents to build resumes, pursue job searches, and complete online courses with guidance from staff.

Healthy Living and Step-Down Recovery

Balanced, locally sourced meals promote nutrition and wellness, while weekly recreational outings, like hiking, museum visits, and canoe trips, foster connection and stress relief. After completing treatment, residents transition to Ohio Recovery Housing-certified homes operated by TCN, where they continue outpatient care and vocational growth with ongoing case management and peer support.
