Next Step Treatment Center provides outpatient services for substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders from its urban location on Belair Road in East Baltimore. Since 2017, the center has offered therapy, psychiatric care, and medication management for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Its youth programs are designed to meet the developmental and emotional needs of children and teens, while adults receive care that fits into daily routines at home, work, and school.

Advanced Therapies and Integrated Treatment

Clients can access a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and family therapy. For those with both substance use and mental health conditions, treatment is integrated to address both at the same time. The center also offers advanced options such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and ketamine infusion therapy, providing additional choices for clients who may not respond fully to standard treatments.

Services include wellness management, vocational and financial education, peer mentoring, and case management. Tobacco cessation counseling and relapse prevention tools further prepare clients for long-term stability in the community. Accessibility is central to Next Step’s approach. Services are available in English and Spanish, with teletherapy for those who cannot attend in person. The center also provides crisis intervention and psychiatric emergency walk-ins for urgent needs. With Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and payment assistance accepted, care is designed to be financially reachable.
