Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults seeking multiple levels of care, including withdrawal management; entering addiction treatment for the first time; coming back to treatment after restarting substance use; seeking support for co-occurring mental health concerns; looking for a program that focuses on community and peer connection; unable to completely disconnect from outside responsibilities during inpatient treatment; families who wish to participate in treatment.

  • Not a fit if: Adults looking for a boutique or luxury experience; seeking a program that does not integrate 12-Step programming; needing unrestricted access to work, school, or technology during residential treatment.

What to expect

Developing your care plan

  • Comprehensive assessment: Treatment starts with a multidisciplinary clinical assessment looking at medical history, psychiatric symptoms, and substance use patterns, as well as family dynamics and personal goals. The results help shape the treatment plan. Clients who need withdrawal management receive a plan for medical monitoring and support during this phase.
  • Foundations, Fresh Start, and Balance programs: Three pathways are available. Foundations of Recovery is for those who are new to treatment; the Fresh Start option is for those who have been in treatment in the past but have returned to substance use or need more support; and the Balance pathway focuses on those with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Tailored treatment: Care plans can include various therapeutic approaches, including individual and group therapy, medication management for co-occurring conditions, and medications for addiction treatment (MAT) for opioid or alcohol use disorders.

Who you will meet with

  • Medical team: The medical team consists of addiction medicine attending physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and nurses who provide 24/7 monitoring and support for clients during withdrawal management.
  • Licensed therapists: Clients attend individual sessions with counselors who specialize in addiction treatment.
  • Case management: Case managers coordinate services and contribute to care planning for clients throughout treatment.

Typical schedule

  • Morning: Days begin with breakfast and community groups. Structured clinical groups follow, drawing on various therapy techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed treatment, and other recovery-focused approaches.
  • Afternoon: Lunch is followed by skills work and psychoeducation, experiential and recreational programming, and opportunities for reflection or journaling. Clients can participate in wellness activities and recreational time, including outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and games.
  • Evening: Evening activities include dinner, group activities, and recovery meetings, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
  • Additional care: Nurses check in with clients throughout the day, and medical and psychiatric support are available as needed. Individual therapy and meetings with case managers are also integrated into daily routines.
  • Outpatient programs: The facility also offers outpatient programs, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that meets 4 to 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 2 to 4 weeks, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that meets 3 hours a day, 3 to 5 days a week for 8 to 12 weeks. Virtual outpatient care is also available.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Dedicated wellness floor: The facility has a wellness floor with equipment for basketball, boxing, yoga, and meditation. Reading nooks, creativity stations, and shared community spaces are also available.
  • Recreation and social activities: The facility offers various group activities, including karaoke, cornhole, football watch parties, and trivia nights. There’s also a Zen garden for time outdoors.
  • WorkFlex: Residential clients can spend up to 3 hours a day on work or school responsibilities in a quiet space with internet access.
  • Family involvement: Family is a meaningful part of the treatment model. Loved ones can participate in family meetings, in-person or virtual support groups, and educational webinars. Family involvement can help loved ones prepare for aftercare and can continue after clients leave residential treatment.

Aftercare

  • Discharge planning starts early: Discharge planning starts during inpatient treatment. The care team determines the appropriate next steps based on client needs.
  • Recovery housing: Clients who complete residential treatment may be eligible for recovery housing while attending PHP and may even be able to remain while progressing through IOP.
  • Alumni programming: Alumni support includes recovery meetings and sober activities, including picnics, sports, and movies.

Quality and Trust

A

Trust Score

A simple A–E grade that offers a quick view of how much confidence you might place in a facility. It’s not a guarantee of quality or outcomes, but a data-informed tool to help guide your search. More on our methodology.

The Joint Commission

The Joint Commission is one of the most trusted names in healthcare. If a rehab center has this accreditation, it means they meet strong national standards for safety, treatment quality, and staff training.

How we research treatment facilities

Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.

Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:

- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.

- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.

- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.

- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.

Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.

How we evaluate treatment facilities

These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

We cannot guarantee the quality of treatment at any facility. We cannot independently confirm the accuracy of every data point, and some information may become outdated or change over time. A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
