Trauma-Informed Care with 12-Step and MAT
Care is grounded in trauma-informed practices, a 12-step social model, and access to medications for addiction treatment (MAT). Clients participate in daily group therapy, weekly family sessions, and personalized treatment planning that addresses substance use, trauma, and co-occurring mental health concerns. Medications can be prescribed as needed and are supported by psychiatric services. By combining structure, therapy, and medication, the program aims to reduce cravings, stabilize mood, and strengthen clientsā ability to stay engaged in treatment as they transition back into everyday life.
Daily Routines and Wellness
The program takes place in a Victorian mansion with shared bedrooms, home-style meals, and quiet garden areas that offer a sense of calm in the middle of the city. Clients spend time in indoor group spaces, complete assignments outdoors, and can unwind in designated relaxation areas. Yoga, meditation, group exercise, and access to an on-site gym help clients rebuild physical health alongside emotional recovery. The neighborhood gives clients convenient access to transportation and nearby parks, supporting a smoother shift back into community life once they complete the residential program.
Support for Diverse Needs and Life Circumstances
The center serves a wide range of adults, including veterans, seniors, pregnant or postpartum women, people with co-occurring mental health conditions, and survivors of trauma or intimate partner violence. The program offers specialized services such as tobacco cessation counseling and mental health support. Staff also help clients navigate practical barriers by providing case management, help accessing social services, and transportation assistance. This combination of clinical care and real-life support helps clients rebuild stability in multiple areas of their lives.
Step-Down Care and Long-Term Connection
After completing the 30-day residential program, clients can step down into an eight-week intensive outpatient program (IOP) that keeps them connected to therapy and peer support while they return to work, school, or caregiving. Aftercare includes weekly alumni groups, relapse-prevention planning, safety planning, and optional ongoing individual or family therapy. Clients are encouraged to stay involved through peer mentoring and sober networks. The center also offers housing assistance and guidance accessing community resources. These supports help clients continue building the routines and relationships that reinforce long-term recovery.
