Who is this facility a good fit for?

  • Best fit if: Adults in early recovery who are medically stable and post-detox (not in need of acute medical detox); need 24/7 residential supervision in a highly structured up to 30-day program; want daily therapy and group-based treatment with psychiatric support and Medications for addiction treatment (MAT); have private insurance or can self-pay.
  • Not a fit if: Require acute medical detoxification or are not medically stable for residential admission; unwilling to live on campus in a 24-hour structured setting for up to 30 days; need outpatient-only care without residential stay; rely on Medi-Cal or Medicare for coverage.

What to expect

The program meets industry standards of care for treatment and focuses on:

Treatment planning and reassessment

  • Formal assessment: Care begins with a confidential assessment with a staff counselor (typically 60–90 minutes) and many clients start treatment the day of the assessment.
  • Counselor-led plan: Primary counselor is the central point of care—they develop the treatment plan and guide progress and next steps.
  • Built-in reassessment: Clients meet weekly with their counselor, which creates a predictable checkpoint for progress reviews, updates to goals, and step-down planning.
  • Strict electronic policy during treatment: No laptops and phones are restricted for the first 7 days.

Who you will meet with

  • Counselor: primary support who develops the treatment plan and meets with clients weekly to guide progress and next steps.
  • Integrated team: Depending on treatment plans, clients meet with therapists, care managers, and spiritual advisors.
  • 24-hour staff supervision: Round the clock care is provided.
  • Program assistants: Will verify your coverage details and tell you exactly what your costs will be when you get started.

Typical schedule

  • Daily rhythm: Individual meetings with counselors and peer connection opportunities.
  • Weekly schedule: Educational groups, classes, family therapy on set days. Weekly random drug and alcohol testing.
  • Visitor policy: Visitors are allowed, but limited to the first floor; no guest access beyond that area.

Living experiences and amenities

  • Historic setting: Clients live on a city campus in a historic Victorian mansion.
  • Rooms: Clients stay in gender-specific housing in shared, air-conditioned bedrooms with ensuite private bathrooms.
  • Common areas: The facility has a library, an outdoor lounge, campus gardens, and indoor living spaces with TVs.
  • Fitness: The campus has an on-site gym, weekly yoga and meditation sessions, and group exercise activities.
  • Outdoor spaces: Clients have access to campus gardens and walking trails.
  • Culinary program: On-site staff prepare nutritious meals that can accommodate specific dietary needs, and clients have access to a kitchenette, mini-fridges, and a coffee and tea station.

Aftercare

  • Step-down option: Clients may have the option to step down to an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for an additional eight weeks after completing inpatient treatment.
  • Alumni/aftercare support: Weekly alumni aftercare meetings, plus relapse prevention plans, safety planning, and connection to a sober support network.
  • Ongoing therapy: Ongoing individual and family therapy may be available.

Verified Interview with Director

Verified Admissions Experience

Anonymous admissions inquiry conducted via phone on February 10, 2026, to evaluate response time, transparency, and patient experience.

When we reached out, we were able to connect easily with an in-house representative. The conversation felt straightforward and neutral, but somewhat rushed. The representative answered each question directly and was transparent about pricing when asked. The interaction was matter-of-fact rather and overall did not leave a strong impression of warmth.

Facility Transparency

  • Verified by Start Your Recovery: February 20, 2026.
  • Admissions Experience Evaluation: An anonymous inquiry was conducted on February 10, 2026.
  • Digital Transparency Evaluation: A comprehensive review of the facility’s website and public documentation was completed on February 20, 2026, to ensure marketing claims align with actual service offerings.
