A Long-Term Men’s Residential Program With a Community Mission
Concord Pines is a men’s residential treatment program operated by Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers, a private nonprofit. It provides long-term, non-medical substance use treatment for men who need a structured place to reset, build skills, and reconnect with support that can continue after discharge.
Home-Like Living Spaces That Support Daily Routine
The program is designed to feel residential rather than institutional. Shared bedrooms, comfortable lounges, and communal dining areas create a day-to-day rhythm that supports accountability and peer connection. On-site spaces for practical tasks like using a workstation area also help residents stay focused on next steps while in treatment. The setting includes nature-based views that contribute to a calmer environment.
Therapy, Skill-Building Groups, and 12-Step Connections
Care begins with orientation, intake, and comprehensive assessment. From there, residents participate in intensive group therapy and individual counseling, along with topical and didactic groups. The program also helps men connect with community 12-step support, building a recovery network that can be carried forward after residential care.
Recovery Planning That Tackles Real-World Barriers
Counselors work with each resident to shape a plan that addresses key areas that often affect stability, such as housing, relationships, vocational goals, education, and mental and physical health needs. Practical supports include money management and budgeting, independent living skills, and workforce preparation, such as career counseling, skill development, résumé help, job coaching, and links to employment resources.
Family Support, Continuing Care, and Medication Coordination
Family involvement is supported through outpatient family services and a Family Group. Discharge planning and aftercare services help residents transition into ongoing support, including mentoring or peer support, housing services, employment counseling, and help connecting to social services. Transportation assistance and access to local community resources can make it easier to stay engaged. The program also serves men with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and may coordinate medications for addiction treatment (MAT), including supporting people who receive certain medications through other providers.
