What to expect
Developing your care plan
- First steps: The first step is a comprehensive assessment. Each client gets a psychological evaluation, medical evaluation, substance use history, and screenings for co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Individualized plans: Clients set personal recovery goals and get individualized treatment plans to help meet them. Treatment approaches vary, but may include individual, group, and family therapy as well as trauma-informed care, relapse prevention planning, and life skills development. MAT is also available when indicated.
Who you will meet with
- Medical providers: Medical staff complete medical evaluations, manage medication, and provide care and support for physical health.
- Licensed clinical staff: Clinical staff includes individual therapists, group therapists, and trauma-informed treatment professionals.
- Admissions and discharge planning staff: These staff members provide support when clients enter into or transition out of the program. This can include verifying the completion of paperwork, insurance verification, or providing information about outpatient resources.
- Peer support professionals: Peer support professionals, many of whom may have personal experience with substance use, offer guidance to clients throughout their stay.
Typical schedule
- Structured routines: Clients attend structured programming throughout the day, which may include individual and group counseling, life skills training, and recovery-focused activities with other clients in the program.
- Holistic activities: Activities such as meditation and yoga are integrated into treatment as well as nutrition support and healthy eating education when needed.
Living experiences and amenities
- Home-like amenities: The facility has air-conditioned rooms; private and shared rooms are available with private bathrooms. Each client also gets a desk and personal storage.
- Indoor spaces: Various community spaces are available, including a relaxation lounge, business and work space, and laundry facilities. For indoor recreation, clients have access to a television and ping pong table.
- Outdoor recreation: Walking paths trail throughout the landscaped grounds and gardens, and there are outdoor seating areas where clients can relax.
Aftercare
- Discharge planning: Aftercare coordination helps clients feel supported after leaving the program. It can include various services, like connecting clients with community organizations and resources that support returning to community life and offering assistance when transferring to outpatient care.
- Continued support: Continued recovery support is also available after treatment, and the program will provide support following relapse if necessary.
