Residential substance use and mental health treatment includes on-site withdrawal management (detox), allowing clients to move into residential care without changing facilities. Residential care combines individual and group counseling with a structured daily routine. Clients have access to private or semi-private rooms. Prior to discharge, clients work with the care team to arrange continuing care through connected partners. This may include a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), or standard outpatient care. Same-day admission may be available depending on bed availability.

Detox and residential treatment

During detox, clients receive 24/7 clinical support, physician oversight, monitoring, and medications for addiction treatment (MAT) when determined to be appropriate. Once a client is stabilized, they can move into residential treatment without changing facilities. Care at this stage focuses on therapy, developing a structured daily routine, relapse prevention, and planning for life after treatment.

Admissions and accommodations

Same-day admission may be available depending on bed availability. Admissions staff are available from 8 a.m. to midnight and can start the process with insurance verification and a phone assessment. Before initial treatment planning and scheduling an admission, medical and clinical teams review the information and determine proper placement. Residential care provides a steady routine separate from everyday pressures, and clients may have the option of private or semi-private rooms.

Substance use and mental health care

The program treats clients with concerns involving alcohol, opioids, heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, and other substances. Care also addresses co-occurring mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Treatment may include individual and group counseling and behavioral therapies. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) may be included when determined to be appropriate.

Planning for continued care

Discharge planning begins while clients are in residential treatment. The facility may coordinate PHP, IOP, and standard outpatient care through connected providers off-site. Depending on the client’s needs, next steps may also include counseling, recovery housing, community meetings, mental health care, and continued connections with peers or alumni.
