Treatment for women addressing trauma and co-occurring mental health conditions together
The Rose offers gender-responsive, trauma-informed addiction treatment for women, addressing substance use alongside mental health concerns. Programming also considers experiences such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, and childhood trauma. Group programming gives women an opportunity to discuss their experiences and challenges with other women who have similar experiences. Individual, family, and recreational therapy are also integrated into care.
Highly structured daily programming with clear guidelines
Programming generally follows a highly structured daily schedule. Downtime is largely limited to meals. Clients attend daily group therapy sessions and weekly individual therapy sessions. Smartphones and personal electronics are not permitted, and while clients can make daily phone calls to family, in-person visitation is not offered.
Intentional shared living to encourage peer connection
Semi-private rooms are a feature of the program. Women are paired together to encourage regular interaction and peer support. Clients have shared meals and gathering spaces. Meals are served at the on-site Oak Leaf Café, and women can work with dietitians to create meal plans based on certain dietary goals and preferences.
Wellness resources beyond traditional therapy
The 10,000-square-foot Brittney R. Serpa Wellness Center offers exercise equipment, and women can work with certified athletic trainers. There’s also a lap pool for swimming, along with a meditation garden and walking labyrinth for mindfulness and quiet time.
Various levels of care in one place
The Rose offers withdrawal management when clinically necessary before residential treatment, as well as a women’s PHP. This structured, full-day option provides continuing gender-specific support through individual, group, and family therapy and holistic activities such as yoga, meditation, and art therapy.
