Residential Treatment Built for Teen Boys

This residential program focuses on adolescent boys who need a structured setting for substance use treatment. Care includes a 12-step recovery model, individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling, trauma counseling, medication management, and support for co-occurring disorders, giving teens a treatment plan that addresses both recovery and mental health needs in one place.

School Support That Continues During Treatment

A major differentiator is the on-campus education program developed with Duval County schools. Teens can continue their schoolwork while in residential care, and the program coordinates with each student’s home school before admission and throughout treatment, helping reduce academic disruption and making the transition back to school more manageable for both teens and families.

A Recovery Campus With Space for Daily Routine

Located on Gateway’s Jacksonville recovery campus, the program gives teens a living environment built around structure and routine. Residents stay in shared living spaces, with some private or semi-private rooms, and have access to outdoor recreation areas, counseling rooms, group therapy spaces, life-skills training areas, peer-support meeting spaces, case management, and community services that support day-to-day stability during treatment.

Continuing Care That Extends Beyond Residential Stay

Gateway includes continuing care group therapy, discharge planning, peer support, aftercare services, and help connecting to social services and community resources, which strengthens the support system around each teen and helps families prepare for a more stable return to home, school, and everyday responsibilities.
