Medically Supported Withdrawal Management That Connects to Therapy

Detox supports clients who are at risk for physical withdrawal from alcohol or other drugs. Medical staff use medications as part of withdrawal support alongside individual and group counseling, helping clients stabilize and begin building recovery skills early. This approach is built to reduce immediate risk while creating momentum into the next level of care, rather than treating detox as a stand-alone stop.

Residential Treatment Focused on Relapse Risk and Home Stability

Residential treatment is a time-limited, structured option for clients who need a stable environment away from daily triggers, including those without reliable support at home. The program runs up to 30 days and emphasizes relapse prevention, working through unresolved personal issues, and practicing recovery skills in a safe, secure setting. Family members or other support people can be included to help strengthen the client’s support network after discharge, and clients have opportunities to attend recovery-focused meetings in the community.

Step-Down Support: MARS, Second Wind Housing, and Practical Services

EPIC’s Medication-Assisted Recovery Services (MARS) program combines medications for addiction treatment (MAT) with counseling, care coordination, and peer support for opioid or alcohol use disorders. The center also offers targeted support for pregnant and postpartum clients through its Mother & Child Program, including screening, assessment, and coordination of care. For clients who need stable housing while rebuilding routines, Second Wind Village transitional living provides a structured environment that emphasizes responsibility, life skills training, and pathways to employment through vocational readiness and employment workshops. Additional support includes transportation assistance, overdose education and naloxone training, housing services, employment counseling or training, and treatment for gambling disorder.
