Trauma-Informed Treatment Plans

Care is adapted for each client’s individual needs based on a detailed assessment that includes trauma history and screening for co-occurring mental health conditions. Master’s-level clinicians help guide clients through therapies to address substance use alongside these issues. For veterans who need specialized care for PTSD and other service-related challenges, a Service Resiliency Unit (SRU) is available.

ThriveForward Program for Young Adults

The ThriveForward Program is tailored for the needs of young adults ages 19 to 26. Care plans for clients in this program are built around age-specific challenges like finding a career path, defining personal goals, developing coping mechanisms, and learning to thrive independently. For clients who are enrolled in college or other educational programs, staff can coordinate academic support. Additionally, young adults can be given scheduled time to complete school-related responsibilities alongside treatment.

Detox and Residential Care

When needed, clients can start recovery with on-site, medically supervised withdrawal management (detox). Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) can be prescribed to help ease cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Once stabilized, clients can transition immediately into residential treatment, where they participate in structured daily programming from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This includes group therapy, one-on-one counseling, and family therapy sessions when appropriate. In the evenings, clients can use their personal electronic devices, relax and reflect, or spend time interacting with peers.

Outdoor Spaces and Recreation

Sabal Palms Recovery Center is set on a private 10-acre campus surrounded by trees, a lake, a river, and walking trails. During downtime, clients can enjoy a swimming pool and play volleyball, basketball, or tennis.
