Specialized Treatment for Older Adults
Care is specifically adapted for adults ages 35 and up, understanding that this age group often faces unique challenges such as significant life transitions, navigating their purpose in life, and inner ruminations about their legacy. Staff recognize that substance use at this stage of life often intersects with burnout, grief, or questions about identity. Programs are designed to meet clients where they are, helping them overcome substance use and discover a renewed sense of direction.
Restorative Healing in a Nature-Filled Mountain Setting
The center offers a quiet, soothing retreat environment with private bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, with chef-prepared meals adapted to dietary preferences, including vegan offerings. Outdoor walking trails, gardens, and lounges overlooking the beautiful natural scenery are available for clients to enjoy. There is also plenty of space for yoga and meditation sessions surrounded by forested views. The setting is intentionally tailored for reflection, comfort, and renewal.
Equine-Assisted, Expressive, and Creative Therapies
Along with individual, group, and family therapy, the center offers a range of fun and uplifting holistic healing options. These include equine therapy, which helps clients build trust and self-awareness, and connection through interactions with horses. No riding is required. Art therapy and expressive writing are also offered, providing a nonverbal way to process deep emotions and trauma. Mindfulness activities like guided meditation, tai chi, and yoga are also offered, as well as ecotherapy. This combination paves the way for a well-rounded, restorative experience.
SMART and 12-Step Recovery Path Options
Both self-management and recovery training (SMART) Recovery and 12-Step meetings are offered to meet client preferences. SMART Recovery emphasizes self-empowerment and uses evidence-based tools like cognitive-behavioral techniques and goal setting to build resilience and independence. For clients drawn to spiritual growth and peer connection, 12-Step programming offers structured steps to follow, as well as strong community support. Clients are free to explore what resonates with their beliefs and recovery goals.
Specialized Veterans Program
A dedicated program for veterans is available, providing trauma-informed care for substance use and co-occurring disorders like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Veterans engage in mixed-population therapy groups, encouraging reintegration into civilian life. As a member of the Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Care Network (VA-CCN), the center accepts VA referrals, streamlining access to care. The admissions team assists veterans in navigating VA-CCN benefits, ensuring they receive the support they require.
Patient Reviews
Silver Ridge maintains a strong reputation with reviewers. Former clients often cite the peaceful setting, high-quality meals, and compassionate, skilled staff as standouts. Some noted frustrations with scheduling or family involvement, but the overall sentiment reflects meaningful change, emotional healing, and lasting tools for recovery.
