Customized Treatment and Scheduling

Before clients enter the detox center, they are given a medical pre-screening so the team can better address their specific needs. Staff includes doctors, therapists, and behavioral health specialists who work together to create a customized plan for each client. Clients are paired with an individual primary therapist to work closely with them on their detox journey. The daily schedule at Royal Life Detox is structured, with clients participating in various group therapies for five hours each day to express themselves, learn skills to stay substance-free, and connect with peers and counselors in a safe, non-judgmental space. Therapy options include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI).

Art, Music, and Movement Therapy Options

Royal Life Detox places emphasis on healing through expression. These include art therapy, which includes painting and sculpting, as well as music, dance/movement, and journal therapy. Immersing in creative expression can help clients vent their feelings, find a sense of calm, and learn more about themselves through their art. It can also help keep them focused and channel the mental and emotional difficulties of detox in a healthy way. Yoga and meditation are also offered to help clients build mindfulness skills, which can be invaluable through all stages of recovery.

Case Management, Relapse Prevention, and Next Steps Planning

Along with helping clients navigate various social and legal challenges, case managers assist with relapse prevention, including next steps in recovery. After detox, many clients choose to enter Royal Life Centers’ residential program, offered at the same location. Once that program is complete, clients can choose outpatient services at the location or nearby Royal Life Centers facilities. These services include partial hospitalization (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), job readiness training, career services, sober living, and continuing education. Outdoor adventure groups are also available for clients to relax and have fun with peers. Going through each step of the recovery process can help clients develop a wealth of skills to thrive.
