Best fit if: Adults looking for a small residential environment; seeking support for substance use alongside trauma or other mental health concerns; wanting a focus on individual therapy; seeking peer connection and community; wanting treatment with practical support; looking for wellness activities alongside clinical care.
Not a fit if: Adults seeking on-site medical detox; needing unrestricted phone access; wanting a large campus or peer cohort.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Initial assessments: Clinical assessments look at both mental health and substance use and are used to individualize treatment plans. Plans are tailored to client needs based on the severity of trauma, substance use, and mental health concerns.
- Individual therapy based on needs: Clients begin treatment with once-weekly individual therapy but can increase to 2 or 3 sessions a week based on clinical need.
- A mix of treatment approaches: Treatment mixes traditional clinical work, trauma and mental health treatment, wellness, peer groups, and recovery community groups.
Who you will meet with
- Licensed therapists: Master's-level therapists lead individual therapy sessions and group clinical treatment.
- Medical team: An in-house psychiatrist and medical providers are available to address clients’ mental and physical health needs.
- Case managers: Case managers assist clients during step-down treatment, offering support for finances, employment, making appointments, and reintegrating into daily life.
- Group facilitators: Group facilitators offer support through groups focusing on non-clinical topics, including groups led by visiting Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) community members.
Typical schedule
- Mornings: Mornings begin with a chef-prepared breakfast and a medication pass. Clients attend a one-hour process group at 8:30 a.m., followed by one hour of psychoeducation.
- Afternoons: After lunch, clients participate in wellness and holistic programming, such as meditation, Pilates, and sound baths, from 12 to 1 p.m. They then have less structured time from 1 to 3 p.m. for individual therapy sessions, art, journaling, reading, or other therapeutic activities. Mental health-focused groups follow from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
- Evenings: Dinner and downtime are from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by an AA Hospitals and Institutions (H&I) meeting. Clients have brief phone access, followed by a nightly wrap-up meeting around 8:30 p.m.
Living experiences and amenities
- Private and shared spaces: Accommodations include private and shared rooms as well as community spaces for activities like meditation and ping pong. The facility also has a sauna, a cold plunge pool, and backyard areas with a fire pit.
- Outdoor and off-site activities: Clients may participate in hiking, visit parks, or go to baseball games. Trips to a nearby fitness center are offered 6 days a week.
- Outside connections: Visitation is on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Clients also have brief access to phones every evening.
Aftercare
- Structured step-down care: Monument Recovery offers various levels of step-down care, such as a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that runs daily from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a virtual IOP.
- Case management: Case managers help clients with various practical challenges, including job searching, budgeting, financial management, and coordinating outside medical appointments, with a strong focus on reintegration during outpatient care.
- Community connections: Alumni events, peer activities, and check-ins after leaving formal treatment maintain client connections to the community.

View all facilities in FloridaHow we research treatment facilities
Across the site, our team has conducted over 1,000 pre-admissions calls to better understand the patient experience, interviewed facility clinical leaders, performed facility background checks, and compared our information against trusted public data sources.
Our research process begins with data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), accrediting bodies including The Joint Commission and CARF, government licensing agencies, and other trusted sources. From there, our team conducts significant original research, including:
- Pre-admissions calls: We speak with admissions staff to get a candid picture of patient experience.
- Background checks: We review complaints from past clients, media reports, actions taken by accrediting bodies, and positive recognition from notable organizations.
- Clinical interviews: We have in-depth conversations with clinical leadership, often lasting up to one hour, that give us a better understanding of clinical care.
- Data partnerships: We ingest and analyze exclusive data that provides information about in-network insurance status, cost, and more.
Research varies by facility. Each facility profile shows which research steps we completed and when each step was last performed. Learn more about our research process and background checks.
How we evaluate treatment facilities
These data help us develop a Trust Score for each facility—a simple letter grade that helps you assess how much confidence to place in a facility based on the information available to us. Trust Score considers accreditation, operating history, notable recognition, and concerns identified during our background check. Our Trust Score is an objective rating that is never influenced by advertiser payment. Learn more about our Trust Score methodology.

We cannot guarantee the quality of treatment at any facility. We cannot independently confirm the accuracy of every data point, and some information may become outdated or change over time. A Trust Score is a starting point, not a guarantee of treatment quality or outcomes. Please contact us if you would like to update or correct facility information.
