Care is delivered in a calm, secluded environment that supports focused healing. Clients stay in private or shared rooms, and have access to a pool, gardens, meditation areas, and plenty of outdoor space. Hiking, yoga, and off-site community activities are incorporated into the program. Healthy meals are served daily, with accommodations for dietary needs, including vegan options. Local ingredients are used whenever possible.

Animal-Assisted and Holistic Therapies

The Animal-Assisted Therapy program includes time with horses, goats, and dogs. Interacting with these animals can be highly soothing and provides invaluable lessons in the bonds of trust. Other holistic therapy options include art and music therapy, which can help clients channel their emotions into creating something beautiful that they can be proud of and share with others.

Personal, Adaptive Care Plans

Unique features of the teen curriculum include an on-site school, academics woven into daily schedules, a non-smoking facility, and age-appropriate therapy on topics such as body image, self-esteem, peer pressure, and life skills. Staff approach these issues gently from a place of acceptance. Peer group therapy is emphasized, and family members are closely involved and seen as an integral part of healing. The program includes a weekly case review with parents or guardians. Teens can receive family visits on Sundays, and have the opportunity to make daily phone calls to their loved ones.
