Who is this facility a good fit for?
Best fit if: Residential treatment for substance use disorders; professionals and executives who need continued access to work responsibilities; co-occurring mental health conditions requiring psychiatric support; privacy-focused individuals seeking a smaller treatment setting; fitness, nutrition, and wellness-focused recovery; luxury treatment with fewer than 10 clients at a time; willingness to travel for care.
Not a fit if: Highly affordable treatment options; unrestricted technology access during residential treatment; large treatment communities with dozens of peers; faith-based treatment as a primary focus; individuals seeking a less personalized treatment experience.
What to expect
Developing your care plan
- Pre-admission evaluation: Before admission, clients complete a comprehensive phone assessment covering substance use history, mental health history, and personal background to determine care needs.
- Individualized treatment planning: Care plans are individualized. The client, a therapist, and their care team work together to develop the treatment plan. Clinical focus areas are adjusted depending on client circumstances and recovery progress.
Who you will meet with
- Primary therapist: A primary individual therapist will be assigned to be the client's main point of contact for ongoing treatment planning and clinical work.
- Psychiatrist: A psychiatrist conducts mental health evaluations and will be available for medication management when clinically appropriate.
- Medical team: The medical director, nurse practitioner, and registered nurses manage medical care, detox services, medication needs, and monitor a client’s health throughout treatment.
- Case manager: Helps to coordinate treatment needs, discharge planning, and connections to ongoing recovery resources.
- Holistic therapy staff: Clients can work with various professionals supporting holistic therapies.
Typical schedule
- Clinical programming: Daily schedules may include group therapy, individual therapy, substance use counseling, mental health treatment, and evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-related therapy, relapse prevention, and recovery-focused education. Medications for addiction treatment (MAT) will also be administered as needed throughout the day.
- Wellness and experiential therapies: Clients can take part in equine therapy, massage therapy, fitness classes, yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, acupuncture, art therapy, and other holistic services.
- Personal time: During downtime clients have a chance to use facility amenities, work on recovery skills, join recreational activities, and connect with peers.
- Family involvement: Loved ones can remain involved through visitation and receiving access to therapy services while the client is in residential treatment.
Living experiences and amenities
- Living arrangements: Clients stay in one of two luxury residential homes in either shared rooms with one to two roommates for a standard track, or private rooms for an additional fee with the executive track.
- House amenities: Both houses share a swimming pool, full kitchen, and full gym with chef prepared meals with a focus on nutrition. The Hope House has a private movie theater while the Heart House features a sauna and a sports court.
- Recreation and outdoor spaces: Additional amenities may include a basketball court, walking trails, recreation spaces, and mountain-view outdoor areas.
- Standard track technology policy: The standard track has limited phone access daily 5-7 p.m.
- Executive track technology policy: Clients on the executive track have both phone and computer access with a dedicated workspace and technology access.
Aftercare
- Transition planning: After clients finish residential treatment, they can work with staff for discharge planning and care recommendations. Outpatient referrals, sober living placement assistance, and family follow-up counseling are available to help clients after recovery.
- Alumni and recovery support: Clients can also stay connected through continuing care services, support meetings, alumni events, and private online alumni groups after discharge.
