Outpatient Medications for Addiction Treatment

Hope Alive Center offers city-based outpatient care for people working to reduce or stop substance use while staying engaged in daily life. Medical providers prescribe and monitor medications for addiction treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine and naltrexone, to help manage opioid and alcohol use disorders. They can also prescribe medicines for mental health conditions when needed.

Therapy for Substance Use and Mental Health

Alongside medication support, clients can take part in individual and group counseling focused on both substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Therapists use approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, trauma-related counseling, and anger management. This combination can help clients understand patterns that drive substance use, build coping skills for stress, and address conditions like depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, attention deficit disorders, and chronic pain.

Education, Boundaries, and Family Support

Education is a core part of treatment. The program includes focused work on codependency, setting and maintaining healthy boundaries, and exploring family-of-origin issues that may keep people stuck in cycles of substance use. Clients also receive education around relapse warning signs, health topics like HIV and hepatitis, and the impact of physical, emotional, and mental abuse. The team also offers continuing care, naloxone and overdose education, and follow-up. This ongoing connection is designed to support safer decision-making, reduce isolation, and help clients adjust their plan as life circumstances change.
