Medically Supervised Detox
Rushford provides 24-hour medical oversight from registered nurses and board-certified physicians. Medications are used to help ease withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and other substances, supporting a safe and more comfortable start to recovery.
Private Countryside Setting With Holistic Amenities
Located in Middletown, the smoke- and vape-free facility offers a calm, private environment within easy reach of Hartford, New Haven, and shoreline towns. Clients can use an on-site fitness center and participate in yoga, meditation, art therapy, and mindfulness and nutrition programming, designed to strengthen both body and mind during detox.
Flexible Care and Specialized Support
Group therapy is offered when clients feel ready, allowing people to start treatment without pressure. Peer support meetings, overdose-prevention education, and naloxone prescriptions are also available. Programming serves a wide range of individuals, including veterans, military families, pregnant or postpartum women, older adults, and clients with co-occurring mental health or trauma-related conditions.
Planning for the Next Step
Before discharge, the team works with each client to plan ongoing care, whether that’s extended residential treatment, outpatient programs, or medications for addiction treatment. Psychiatric consultations and relapse-prevention groups are available, and financial counseling helps make care accessible for those who are uninsured or under-insured.
